LA TI DO is back in a new collaboration with Bowery Poetry
"A Night at the Lakehouse" is part cabaret part TedTalk - an artist's retreat nestled in the heart of the Lower East Side at the crossroads of spoken word and musical theatre.
Each of our artists will be presenting work that is --in process-- and discussing current challenges, victories, and breakthroughs along the way.
Both organizations are opening up a space for performers to utilize art in a way to better suit the needs of the community, challenging performers to experiment with their artistry in a way that celebrates all aspects of our collective creativity, expanding beyond the limits of poetry and music alone.
This evening will be in two parts - the first half, spoken word poetry, and the second half, musical cabaret.
Founded by Don Mike Mendoza and Regie Cabico, LA TI DO is a premiere musical theatre cabaret and spoken word series with shows in DC, NYC, and LA.
