Come to the L.A. THURSDAY NIGHT (October 3rd) Screening of the hit slam poetry doc Don't Be Nice, followed by a Q&A w/ members of the production team with Special Guest Host James Costa!

James Costa is Co-Vice President of the Board of Directors for The International Documentary Association. He is the Director/Producer of LUNCH HOUR: AMERICA'S SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM. He is Executive Producer of THE ANIMAL PEOPLE (out this fall), and CALL HER GANDA. He is Co-Executive Producer of Weed The People - The Movie. He is currently in production of multiple documentaries. He is also on the board of Sea Shepherd International as well as being on the Executive Council of The Roundabout Theatre of New York.

Don't Be Nice is the story of the upstart Bowery Slam Poetry Team, made up of five young African-American, Afro-Hispanic and queer poets, preparing for the national championships. As their coach pushes them past their personal boundaries to write from a painfully honest place, the poets break down, break through, and ultimately write their masterpiece.
